How much does shipping cost?
Great question. We certainly don’t want to tack on any additional fees to your enrollment, so shipping is free worldwide. We’ll even reimburse you for any import tax or customs charges (up to $100).
Can I enroll later?
While we always want you to make the best decision for you, we won’t be accepting new students until the end of March. That said, one thing to keep in mind is that the Academy is self-paced with no deadlines to complete.
If you’re traveling or have other life commitments during the enrollment period, it’s not a problem. Enroll now and you can begin on the materials whenever you’re ready, on your own schedule. Finally, all students have lifetime access to all program materials, including every update we ever make to the curriculum.
My situation is different, will this work for me?
We appreciate you doing your due diligence. Transparency is always a high priority of ours and we don’t want you to make an investment that’s not right for you.
The reality is, what we teach in the Academy is a framework of core truths that can be applied to a wide variety of situations, and with thousands of students from all walks of life in 81 different countries, odds are that somebody in a similar position as you has benefited from the OTA. I don’t have much time, I have kids, a busy training job, another job, etc.
No problem. We know how life goes. This is why we designed The Online Trainer Academy to not only be self-paced, but entirely engineered for ongoing implementation. You’ll spend as much (or more) time doing as you are learning, building and growing your business as you go.
You can spend as much or as little time working through The Online Trainer Academy materials as you wish. If you invest 3 – 5 hours each week, the program should take 8 – 12 weeks to complete. And remember, there are no deadlines to complete the program, and you have lifetime access to every component.
How much support do I get?
We’re here for you. We know walking this road can seem daunting, and we want to ensure you know that you’re never walking it alone. We are happy to offer unlimited, lifetime, business coaching, 3 different ways:

Can I buy just part of the program?
No, unfortunately not. The Online Trainer Academy experience is only available in full.
This is primarily because we designed the course in such a way that the textbook, workbook, and digital portal all work very closely together, having you jump between all three as you progress. And it simply wouldn’t you do much good to just have one piece of the pie.
Upon enrolling, you will get access to introductory mini-course to work through before your textbook and workbook arrives free in the mail. Entering the password from the textbook into the Digital Portal will unlock the first module. As you complete each module, the next will unlock.
We decided to build The Online Trainer Academy this way so as not to overwhelm you with too much information at once. You’ll get access to materials precisely when you need them as you build your online training business. Once you pass the test, graduation materials become available. You have lifetime access to all materials to review whenever you like.
What happens right after I enroll?
Good question. Immediately after enrolling you’ll be sent an email with your login instructions and credentials for the Digital Portal. You’ll also have the Finish What You Start mini-course that can complete while waiting for your textbook and workbook to arrive. Your textbook contains a password that unlocks module one in the Digital Portal and you’re off to the races. Shipping takes anywhere from 7-21 days depending on where you are in the world.
Is my credit card information secure? Can I use PayPal?
Absolutely. You can use Paypal or any major credit card. All transactions are processed on a server secured with 256-bit ssl – the industry standard for encryption of data online. We never store credit card information.
What if I live in Europe, UK, Australia, or anywhere else?

No problem. Luckily, the fundamentals are the fundamentals, no matter where you live, and the systems we guide you through are designed to work with all fitness professionals around the world. Of course, you can take on clients elsewhere in the world with online training and are not limited to your own country.

Can't I just learn this online for free?
Probably. There’s a seemingly endless amount of information for free on every topic (even one as new as online training) available online if you’re willing to look long and hard enough.
The Online Trainer Academy is not about ‘secret’ tactics, hidden videos, or magical systems. It’s an experience. Our materials have been carefully improved upon since 2013 with help from the feedback of thousands of students before you. What we’ve built for you is a curriculum, start-to-finish, not a whole bunch of haphazardly and random information. We’ve done all of the hard work for you.
Does this come with software? Is software necessary? What if I’m already using software?
The Online Trainer Academy does not require any software installation to utilize. All study is completed in our online learning environment, the Digital Portal. To access your course simply open your favorite browser and log in to the Portal.
In addition, you don’t have to invest in software to use the business systems we teach – we give you free workout templates to send to your clients via Google docs. However, we do explore some professional software options that will enhance your business. Whether you choose to use the software is up to you. We’ll show you how to make your business succeed with or without it.
I’m moving to a new area where I’ll have no client base. Will this work for me?
We completely understand that moving to a new area as a trainer is not an easy thing to do. But breathe easy, The Online Trainer Academy will work for you. First, online training will allow you to keep some of your existing clients as location is no longer a factor when you move online. Secondly, if you don’t have an existing client base right now, we’ll show you the exact steps to grow a brand new one.

Upon passing the test and graduating you will get your certificate in the mail. This certificate, along with the detailed guidelines we provide in our Continuing Education Credits Approval Information guide that you can access within our student member portal, has everything that you need to submit.
How does the Academy compare to other options?
The truth is, there aren’t any other serious options. If you’re interested in building the perfect online training business for you then then Online Trainer Academy is the most actionable, easy-to-follow, thorough and best-researched program on the market.
You could learn one system from one coach, but if that doesn’t work for your situation you’ve wasted a lot of time and money. Who is the Online Trainer Academy not for?
OTA is not for everybody
While we’d love to work with you, we’re only happy to welcome you if you know you’ve made the right investment for you. If you fit the following situations, then OTA is not right for you:
1. You want your hand held. While we offer unlimited business coaching, we’re not going to babysit you. If you need direction and support at any time, we’re here for you but we aren’t going to be checking in with you to make sure that you did the work. Doing this would be a disservice to you. We’ll help you every step of the way but we won’t always be around. At the end of the day, you’re responsible for your own success.
2 . You are an advanced online fitness marketer. If you are looking for guidance on complicated paid advertising techniques, split testing, or building out automated funnels, this program is not for you.
3. You’re brand new to the fitness industry. If you feel confident programming and in looking after your people, then you’re good to go. If not, then I suggest getting in-person experience first and come back to OTA later. So this is a time where you have to be honest with yourself. You can absolutely build a killer online training business with no in-person experience as long as you feel like you can take care of clients well. If you’re unsure, then best to give OTA (and online training) a pass and come back later. We’ll be here whenever you’re ready.
4. You hate the internet and social media. It’s possible to make it work without using social media but it will be a lot harder. If you absolutely hate social media and being online you can still enroll in OTA, but know that it will take you a lot longer to get going with clientele.
5. You’re looking for a quick-fix, overnight solution. This is not a ‘get-rich quick’ program. It’s a ‘build a perfect business that grows with you’ program. That said, most of our students do begin getting their first few clients quickly.
